Brampton Springdale MP Parm Gill introduced a new mobile application to stay contacted with his constituents.
The Conservative MP Friday announced the launch of an app that will provide his constituents with a direct point of contact with the MP.
The app is created through the iTunes website.
“This is the newest way to stay informed and connected with me and our offices,” said Parm Gill. “It allows everyone new, cutting-edge ways to engage, provide feedback and be part of the democratic process that shapes the world around them.”
The app will allow people to view the latest news, keep track of Gill’s activities such as how he votes in the House of Commons, the local 10-Point Action Plan, as well as the ability to receive the weekly e-newsletter on the go, updates on Gill’s Bill C-394, and much more.
Gill claims to have created this app to make Springdale residents aware of his performance while increasing accountability and transparency.
“Access, transparency and accountability are principles that I have and always will work to uphold,” said Parm Gill.
“This technology will promote these objectives by allowing my constituents to monitor, in real time, what I am working on, what my priorities are, and what I have achieved. It serves to redefine the relationship between constituents and their elected representative.”
The app is available on iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/app/mp-parm-gill/id518801576?mt=8
