A 49-year-old Brampton motorcyclist died last evening after colliding with a car at an east Mississauga intersection.
Peel Regional Police closed the intersection of Tomken Rd. and Eglinton Ave. after the crash occurred just after 5 p.m.
Police confirmed the Brampton man riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead a short time ago. He was thrown several metres from his bike after crashing into the Volkswagen’s windshield.
The driver of the car sustained minor injuries from broken glass, while another car was hit with motorcycle debris.
Investigators are looking for a white minivan that may have witnessed the collision.
Police aren’t releasing the motorcyclist’s name until next of kin have been notified.
Witnesses are urged to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 3710.
