Lakes and Beaches in Brampton

January 4, 2016 - Blog
While Brampton has lots of splash pads and wading pools, there’s nothing like digging your toes into warm sand and build a towering sand castle at the beach!

You don’t have to drive far to visit Brampton’s beautiful lakes and beaches. They’re situated behind booming housing developments and nestled deep in the heart of forests.

Professor’s Lake offers a well-groomed sandy beach with lifeguards keeping watch. There is a waterslide for added entertainment and a paved path for picturesque walks with the chance of meeting a family of ducks. For the more adventuresome, you can rent canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and paddle boards.

You probably drive by this area all the time and have just not realized what tranquility lies meters from the main road. This is the perfect place to host a company picnic or family reunion with barbeque areas and picnic tables. The lake offers fishing and canoeing and there is an inground pool and splashpad. And how about tree-trekking? You can try that here!

Unfortunately there is no swimming at this lake, however, this it’s a popular spot for a walk, especially when you combine it with the massive park. You can even stop at the new playground/fitness area for a rest. Children will love the adventure the forest provides. There are many picturesque spots and the shaded areas offer respite from the heat.

Pack your swim trunks and your camera and be prepared to make some family memories this summer!
