Owners of frozen cat may have been found

A cat found covered in ice and snow in Wainwright, Alta., is shown in a photo from the Facebook page of Brad Slater, sent to him by a couple claiming he was theirs, in this recent handout photo. An Edmonton train conductor who saved a kitty that nearly froze to death under an engine says he's sad, but happy as well, that the cat's owners may have been found. Slater, who works for Canadian National Railway, says a couple from Melville contacted him Tuesday morning. They sent him photos of their missing cat, Tiger - and it looks just like the tabby he found early Sunday morning covered in ice under the second engine of train Q199, right down to the partly missing right ear, white back leg and lots of white under the neck and chest. The train came from Saskatoon and stopped in Melville, Sask., and Slater says it's believed that's where the cat climbed up under the engine.
