Unemployment rate in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga remains above pre-COVID-19 levels

Peel's unemployment rate appears to be lowering since earlier in the COVID-19 pandemic, but Sept. 2021 numbers are over three per cent higher than the Ontario average of 7.3 per cent the same month, according to a Statistics Canada labour report.

Unemployment across Peel remains well above pre-pandemic levels but shows signs of improvement, according to a data presented by a local economic development office.
