A second Mississauga school being accused of violence and discrimination

May 27, 2023 - All News

Amid the recent anonymous and controversial letter circulating social media, stating out-of-control aggressive behaviour and “disorderly conduct” at Tomken Road Middle School in Peel Region—a second letter has now been posted, claiming that a culture of violence and discrimination exists at another Mississauga school.
Much like the first, the latest letter was shared on Twitter by lawyer Michael Teper who says, “admin might find these letters embarrassing/inconvenient, but I challenge them to prove the statements are false.”
The letter contains a list of incidents in bulletproof form, that happened over the last three years at Homelands Senior Public School, located near Dundas Street West and Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga.
Some of the allegations presented racial slurs uttered by students, language that is discriminatory against the 2SLGBTQ+ students, acts of vandalism spread throughout the school, physical and verbal fights and teachers being threatened with violence.

Last week I posted a letter from a PDSB teacher re Tomkins Road MS. This week, I'm posting another letter about Homelands Sr. PS. @PeelSchools admin might find these letters embarrassing/inconvenient, but I challenge them to prove the statements in the letters are false. pic.twitter.com/856DTiA8ah
